It Was a Very Good Year.

The year was 1953. My Mom was only 16 years old. Standing in front of my grandparent's house, dressed and ready for something special...

As I've been perusing through my Mom's old photo albums, I'm experiencing such mixed emotions and missing her so. Imagining how wonderful and innocent her youth must have been. Meeting my Dad at 15 and marrying 4 years later. Her suit, hat, gloves, handbag and smile...

another time, another place...

I love this song that you picked by Frank Sinatra. Phyllis had many good years with your Dad and it shows in the photos. I'm so glad that you did this Lynn, because whenever I think of Phyllis and Tilly, I will always go back to this link. Love you Lynn.

Hi Lynn,
I love looking back at our old family photos. I've got a couple of my family in my latest post, as my sister and I have been going through them all lately.
Your mum looks so lovely in her best hat and suit, holding her handbag and gloves. We have many like that of our mum and dad. Your dad looks so handsome ..... you can't beat a man in uniform, can you ?
I love sharing old photographs with others. We should all do it more often, and for the ones who have passed, it's lovelt to keep their memories alive. XXXX
